Watch BET Awards Online. Designed to be the ultimate complement to the broadcast, The BET Awards Backstage will also be live at 7 p.m., ET/4 p.m., PT in the US on the WATCH ABC app for desktop and mobile devices. Presented again this year by Samsung Galaxy®, The BET Awards Backstage lets fans select from three channels that will pull from more than 20 live cameras strategically placed.

There is a voting academy made up of about 500 people from the music industry, media, and bloggers. BET sends out ballots electronically and voters nominate in all the different categories who they think should be award nominees. These are collated by a group called "Yangaroo" that works on other awards shows as well, and they narrow it to the top five nominees, and send that list back out to the academy to vote on the winner.

BET and Anschutz Entertainment Group have renewed their deal to continue the multi-day festival through 2018, a representative for the festival told The Times on Thursday. 2018 BET Awards Full Show

The 2018 BET Award were handed out Sunday night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The show, which honors artists, actors and athletes across 20 categories, also featured tributes to Prince by a slew of artists, including Jennifer Hudson and Stevie Wonder, and a surprise performance by Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar.
